We believe Christianity is both simple and deep. The Gospel is simple enough to be received by a child but the depths cannot be fathomed by the wisest of men. Most of the Bible is easily understood which theologians call the perspicuity of Scripture. But there are many difficult passages, and insights from Bible scholars throughout the ages are helpful in unlocking these difficulties.
