COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will focus on the core beliefs of the Christian faith. The first four weeks we will cover God, creation and the Bible. The second four weeks we will deal with sin, Christ and salvation. The final two weeks we will discuss the Church and end times.
ACADEMIC: The student who successfully completes this course will:
- Be acquainted with basic theological methods.
- Understand the doctrines concerning God, humanity, the Bible, sin, Christ, salvation, the Church and end times.
- Be able to discern between orthodox and false teaching in these areas of theology.
- Apply these truths to their life and ministry.
BEHAVIORAL: That each student would be challenged toward a greater hunger for a deep understanding of God’s message revealed to us in the Bible, and that they would develop a working understanding of basic theology and an ability to share this knowledge with the world.
